Let The Light In

Let the Light In, Linda Skerbec’s first poetry collection—is a Life-Giving Tribute to the healing power of Light, natural wonder, and human connection. Her poems bring the beauty of Nature into your life with such clarity and love that each word becomes a gift that inspires you to share with others. She knows we were never created to live apart from the light of the natural world. Light is meant to flow into us—to nourish, sustain, and help us keep growing. And when we let it fill our body and inspire our heart, it awakens the gifts within us—so compassion and kindness can flow through us to others like a song.

Stay Connected to Light, Beauty and Wonder

Linda’s inspires you to use all your senses to take in the light and life around you: Make time to watch how light shimmers a radiant path across the water to greet you. Walk barefoot on the beach and feel the soul of the sand beneath your feet. Look for the light that shines through the high, glowing crest of a wave.  At night look up at the stars that seem to go on forever.

Life is challenging—and as the pace of technology keeps increasing, people are more and more consumed by screen time. This separates them from the life of the natural world that makes them most human. Many people are now experiencing a kind of suffering that is being termed Nature-Deficit Disorder.

Linda shares, “As I watched this tragedy grow, I felt a keen responsibility to create a life-giving, Non-Profit Poetry Book to inspire people to stay close to the healing strength of Nature. More than ever, it is essential for both adults and children to take time to Let the Light In!  It is encouraging that people are now becoming aware of this need. In Last Child in the Woods, Richard Louv emphasizes:

“Our children are the first generation to be raised without meaningful contact with the natural world. Exposure to nature is essential for physical and emotional health.”

Rachel Carson (author of The Sea Around Us and The Sense of Nature) states;

“Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find resources of strength
that will endure as long as life lasts.”
